Sonam Kapoor introduced the choir at King Charles III’s historic event on Sunday while she was in the UK for his coronation. As they shared on their Instagram Stories, Sonam’s extended family in India was supporting her. Sonam’s father, actor Anil Kapoor, congratulated her on the achievement and said he was proud of her for being “the face and voice of this generation” in a special tweet on Tuesday. Both Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja commented on Anil’s Instagram post.
On Instagram, the seasoned actor posted a picture of Sonam wearing her white coronation gown and commented, “Sonam has always done things differently and it makes me so pleased when she is recognised and celebrated for it. Being invited to speak to the entire Commonwealth of Nations among royalty is such an honour. It seems appropriate that Sonam should represent our nation among other great artists on a worldwide scale to usher in a new era of cohesion, harmony, and creativity. Sonam is the face and voice of this generation, and as a father and a member of the Indian cinema community, I could not be prouder of her. @sonamkapoor (love emoji in red).
Love you very much, Sonam answered with a few crimson emoticons. My strongest supporter. Then Anand said, “Wowwww. so beautifully put!” On May 8, the pair recently marked their fifth wedding anniversary. Their son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja was born on August 20, 2022, and they are his parents.
