Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is easily one of the most hyped and anticipated movies of 2023. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as the lead actor along with Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri in key roles. The film’s pre-teaser created a rampage with its gory, action-packed shots of, Ranbir thrashing people in gold masks dripped in blood. Director Sandeep has stated that he will show what violence is with this film and this has only raised expectations.
The film was all set to release on Independence Day weekend alongside movies like Gardar2, OMG, Jailer and Bhola Shankar on August 11 2023, but has now postponed its release. It is speculated that the film is now aiming for a December first week release. It is reported that Ranbir Kapoor met Bhushan Kumar (T Series) and agreed on the postponement.
Though the exact reason behind the delay has been revealed as the post production work regarding the dubbing of songs and making sure authenticity is not lost in translation, fans were assuming it was to avoid the clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Rajinikanth. Netizens are saying that Gardaar2 will have massive openings and will have bigger success, while others added that no one can compete with Rajinikanth!
