Annu Kapoor is the face we’ve seen in countless Bollywood movies but don’t remember the name of. Presently, he’s satisfied with his career and the way his life is unfolding after being a part of superhit movies like Kala Pani, Drohkaal, Aitraaz, 7 Khoon Maaf, Vicky Donor, Jolly LLB 2, Ba Baa Black Sheep and Dream Girl. But, his perspective wasn’t the same always. There was a time he considered himself a has-been and a nobody in front of a megastar actor who dominates the industry even as a veteran. In an interaction, the Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 actor revealed that he had to compromise and change his name to Annu as he was a ‘zero’ while Anil Kapoor was a hero. Annu was speaking with a news channel in a new interview when he recalled the time he entered the film industry and had to change his screen name to his pet name. He was born Anil Kapoor, his family used to fondly call him Annu and it eventually became his screen name.
And today, he finally got rid of getting overshadowed by Anil Kapoor’s name and created his individual identity as Annu Kapoor.
On the work front, his movies Sab Moh Maya Hai and Hum Do Humare Baarah are yet to be announced.
