Similar Incidents

This incident is not isolated, as recently, renowned screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar also faced a similar issue. Akhtar revealed on X that his account had been hacked, and a seemingly harmless tweet about India’s Olympic team was not authored by him. He mentioned that he was in the process of complaining to the concerned authorities. The tweet in question has since been removed from his timeline.

Akhtar tweeted, “My X ID is hacked. There is a message ostensibly from my account about our Indian team for Olympics. It is totally harmless but not sent by me. We are in the process of complaining to the concerned authorities in X.”

The Growing Concern of Cybersecurity: The hacking of celebrity accounts is a growing concern, as it not only compromises their privacy but also poses a risk to their followers who might fall prey to scams or misinformation. Fans are advised to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the platform’s support team.
