Barroz 3D: The Mohanlal-starrer’s Trailer to be OUT on this date

Mohanlal makes his directorial debut, “Barroz.” It is one of the most eagerly awaited Malayalam films of 2024. This 3D fantasy film, which has faced multiple delays for various reasons, is now set to hit theaters on September 12. Recent reports indicate that the film’s trailer will be unveiled on September 6 at a special event in Abu Dhabi. This news has brought great relief to fans of the Malayalam superstar, who have been anxiously awaiting updates on the film. Mohanlal Barroz Release Date

Originally announced to premiere during the Onam season. “Barroz” had a different star cast when filming began in 2021, following the first wave of the pandemic. The movie was set to feature several renowned Malayalam actors. Including the late Pratap Pothen and Prithviraj Sukumaran, in significant roles.

However, the second wave of the pandemic caused further delays, prompting director Mohanlal to make the tough decision to scrap the previously shot scenes and restart filming with a new cast. Although initially scheduled for a March 28 release, extended post-production work necessitated a delay. The filmmakers have now confirmed that the movie will be an Onam release.

Mohanlal Directorial Debut

After over four decades of a successful acting career, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal decided to venture into filmmaking. In the recently released poster for “Barroz,” Mohanlal sports a new look with long hair and a thick beard. The poster features him posing with a charming little girl dressed in a multicolored European-style gown, hinting at the film’s diverse visual elements. The poster also suggests that Mohanlal and other characters will have multiple looks throughout the movie.

High Budget and Advanced Technology

Barroz,” produced by Antony Perumbavoor, is reportedly made on a substantial budget of Rs 100 crore and employs cutting-edge technology. According to sources, Mohanlal portrays a 300-year-old guardian ghost tasked with protecting Vasco D’Gama’s treasure. This high-budget production promises to deliver an extraordinary cinematic experience, blending fantasy elements with advanced visual effects, further heightening the anticipation among fans and moviegoers.
