Bhagya Shree who made her comeback with Salman Khan’s “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” multi starrer film talks about how she made decisions doing only few films and boundaries she drew with actors. Bhagya Shree made her debut with Maine Pyaar Kiya along side Salman Khan directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Movie was a blockbuster back then she became star heroine overnight.
Recently she went to Siddharth Kannan’s radio show to promote her movie which released yesterday. Chatting with Siddharth she talked about how she chose to be away from fame and limelight after getting married and having her first child. she said, She couldn’t find balance between movies and personal ife, she wasn’t that capable to handle both at a time. Talking about why she chose personal life over work life,
“A child requires their mother more than anything else at that point of time and I’m not saying that the mothers who work, they are not looking after their kids. But I was too young at the time and in my opinion, I did not have the capability where I could look after myself, look after my family, also look after the kids. I had just gotten married. Abhimanyu was born just a year after that. I think I was too young to handle all these responsibilities together,” as she thinks prioritizing was very important in that phase and she’s someone who likes to prioritize in life and doesn’t feel guilty for choice she made.
She all also faced false rumors’ together with her husband Himalaya Dassani telling her experience with a reporter. A reporter has come to see actress after she gave birth to her first child Abhimanyu, she was resting inside when a reporter came with flowers.” He enters congratulating and asked my husband, How do you feel about your wife’s affair with Salman Khan and now she has kid with you?”. She was flabbergasted hearing him talking false statements. Adding on she said,
“Nobody had ever said anything like this in my life. Through the entire course of Maine Pyar Kiya being made, Salman was such a gentleman. There was nothing between us, nobody had ever said such a thing. And this was on the very next day of my delivering a baby. I was shocked at how badly people can treat each other. I was so upset by this, I stopped reading film magazines, I stopped getting film magazines at home, and I decided to distance myself from the world of films.”
Later actress decided to prioritize family over work life with husband Himalaya Dassani with whom she had two children. She was promoting for film NRI Wives along with her another co-actor Samir Soni. She also played mother character for Bellamkonda Sreenivas in Hindi remake Chatrapthi.
