Bimbisara’s New Record For Kalyan Ram!

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara is evolving as the biggest hit of his career. Already the film breathed fresh air into Tollywood and now is running for a super profitable venture at the box office. According to the trade circles’ latest reports, the epic socio-fantasy crosses Rs 25 Crores share in the First week and became the first film in Kalyan Ram’s career to do so. But the share has drastically come down to one Crore per day after that. Even then, the project might end up very much in the profit zone by the end of its theatrical run. The trade pundits are estimating that Bimbisara might cross the Rs 30 Crores share mark in its lifetime.

Overall, NKR has hit two birds with one movie. On one hand, his career is back on track and on the other, his production house NTR Arts finally has the most needed financial boost. With Pre-release business at Just Rs 16 Crores, the film is one of the most profitable ventures in recent times for the buyers. Considering the plans of NKR to sell the movie in the Hindi belt too might make the venture the best to date in NTR Arts. On the other hand, Dulquer Salman’s Sitaramam, which was released alongside Bimbisara had a great time as well. Telugu Version of the film got a share of Rs 14 Crores worldwide and is expected to breach Rs 25 Crore share too, which, one must admit, is a very good business for the small film. As Nikhil Siddartha’s Karthikeya 2 has garnered a very positive first-day talk, the collections of Bimbi and Sitaramam might see a steady decline from now on, says the pundits.
