BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Billie Eilish Reunite in Seoul

BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Billie Eilish, who first connected during their Coachella performance in 2019, reunited in Seoul on June 18 for an exclusive listening session of Eilish’s latest album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. This private event marked a special moment for the two pop icons, as they shared smiles and hugs, reminiscent of their heartfelt Coachella encounter five years ago.

A Nostalgic Reunion in Seoul

Jennie shared a black-and-white photo of her and Eilish on Instagram, capturing their reunion at the Seoul event. Fans quickly noticed the striking similarity between this new photo and their 2019 Coachella snapshot, highlighting the enduring bond between the two artists. A K-pop fan on Twitter pointed out, “Jennie and Billie hugs after five years, same position and same hands placement. So soft for this.”

During the event, Jennie and Eilish exchanged playful banter and visibly gushed about each other. When discussing Billie’s newest album, which is her first full-length release in three years, Eilish asked Jennie which song she liked the most. Jennie revealed that her favorite track is Birds of a Feather. The duo enjoyed each other’s company throughout the event, with Billie thanking Jennie for graciously hosting the session. Jennie responded warmly, hinting at future collaborations, “You’re definitely interviewing me when my album comes out.”

Billie Eilish’s Immersive Listening Experience

The Seoul listening session was part of Billie Eilish’s ongoing album promotions. Spotify announced the event on June 12, highlighting its unique and immersive experience. Held at Seoul’s Theatres des Lumieres, the event allowed fans to dive into Billie’s world through the album art and her latest musical journey. This event followed a similar immersive listening experience for her UK fans in May.

In addition to her album promotions, Eilish is set to make her Korean show debut on Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho’s You Quiz on the Block. There are also rumors about her possible appearance on Zico’s KBS2 talk show The Seasons, adding more excitement to her South Korean visit.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is gearing up for her first solo comeback after launching her exclusive label LLOUD in late 2023. Her solo musical release, titled Rockstar, is set to drop on Thursday, June 27, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT, promising another wave of excitement for BLACKPINK fans.
