Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer, Liger is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases of the month. After tremendous promotions, the film has finally hit the screens today.
The promotions for the film have gone very strong. The cast had a tour across the country to promote their pan-India movie. Best part is that the film’s team received immense love wherever they went. With such a craze, many reports stated that Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor felt sad for not being lead actress in the Liger.
For the unversed, Jhanvi is the first choice for the Liger film and not Ananya. Confirming the same, Puri in an interview shared, “I am a big fan of Sridevi ji, so I wanted to cast Jhanvi (Kapoor), but her dates were not available.”.
Jhanvi who also says herself as a fan to Vijay is said to have been upset after seeing the response for the film during promotions.
However, pouring water on all the expectations and hype created, Liger opened to a disaster talk today. With this, many Netizens are opinionating that Jhanvi would be happy now as she got out of a disastrous project.
Meanwhile, the film has hit the theatres today in all languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. However, the Hindi version of Liger will premiere only night shows today (August 25) and will have regular shows from Friday (August 26) onwards.
