British Filmmaker Hails RRR As Absolute Blast

In recent weeks, many Hollywood artistes and celebrities, including Joe Dante, Scott Derrickson, C Robert Cargill and Christopher Miller, have lauded RRR for being an extravagant visual spectacle.

This Rajamouli’s magnum opus starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is making headlines everyday with some or other popular personality praising the film. Now the British filmmaker Edgar Wright joins the list.

Edgar Wright, the director behind blockbusters such as “Baby Driver” and “Last Night in Soho”, called this Tollywood action epic an “absolute blast”.

The filmmaker said that he recently saw “RRR” at the British Film Institute (BFI) and found it an “entertaining” watch.

Expressing the same, Wright took to his social media account and wrote, “Finally saw @RRRMovie on the big screen at the @BFI with a great crowd. What an absolute blast. So entertaining. The only film I have ever seen where the intermission card itself got a round of applause,”.

Happy with such compliments from the renowned director,the official page of “RRR” on Twitter thanked Wright by writing, “This is driving us crazy. We are elated to hear from you. Thank you so much @edgarwright!!”.

Released theatrically in March, “RRR” has raised over Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office. This film followed the fictional tale of two Indian freedom fighters from the early 20th century and apart from Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the film also stars Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran in important roles.
