Decoding the failure of Lal Singh Chaddha

Lal Singh Chaddha is the latest Bollywood release which failed to make it big at the box office. Starring Aamir Khan in the titular role, the film also had Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni. Advaith Chandran directed the film. The film failed in all the languages and it is the most depressing thing today in the Hindi Cinema.

Despite the presence of star studded casting, the film is failing to grab the audiences’ attention. The fans and movie goers are unable to digest this news.

Interestingly, we hear that the film is carrying a lot of dull moments. The movie is the official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump. However, the film failed to attract the crowds. The original is a big hit and the makers failed to localize it properly to the Indian nativity and the regional markets.

The slow drama, over dramatic elements, poor screenplay and unimpressive narrative structure have contributed to the film’s failure. The film was promoted well but the trailer itself has sent negative vibes all over.

Ahead of the film’s release, many wanted to boycott the film for Aamir Khan’s anti-national comments. It also contributed to the film’s failure.

Let us hope that Aamir makes a comeback strongly with an interesting film.
