Vijay Deverakonda falls into the list of those heroes whose talent is wasted by trying too many varieties of movies. There is definitely no doubt about the dearth of talent in the Rowdy Star, but his choices are slowly but surely affecting his career. With Liger, the actor lost so many admirers as his overconfidence and attitude have put a dent in his reputation. Liger accumulated bad word of mouth on the first day itself. While the movie is not exceptionally bad, to be honest, the way Vijay behaved in the promotions gave the trollers good food to target the result. This wouldn’t have been the case if the movie was a hit, but it’s for another reality. As of now, the film pulled the high-flying VD to the ground. The movie’s disastrous performance is due to the pale direction of Puri and Vijay is the sole saving face of the flick yet the latter became the prey to trolls rather than Puri.
Poor scripting and faulty execution of Puri Jagannadh is the main reason behind Liger’s fiasco. In fact, the harder Puri is trying, the deeper he is drowning. There should have been a lot of discussions regarding the waning direction abilities of the director. But, Deverakonda saved him by his overconfident gestures because of which the whole focus shifted to the actor. As of now, Liger needs to collect at least Rs 90 Crores share in its full run if it has to be said as a safe project which obviously looks impossible. VD fans are asking him on social media accounts to break up with Puri and concentrate on fresh scripts for new directors. Trollers had a field day on Liger’s release day by picking up his past statements and making them viral. Anyway, Vijay should try to find his feet as soon as possible else, the road ahead might not be as bright as it is now for him.
