Director Suresh G says ‘Erumbu’ is a feel-good kids film

Erumbu is the upcoming Tamil movie written and directed by Suresh G. The film stars Monica Siva, Shakthi Rithvik, and George Maryan in the lead roles. Monica and Rithvik are the children of Suresh who also appeared in a few movies before playing the supporting roles. It also stars Charlie, MS Bhaskar, Susan George, Paravai Suntharaambaal, and Jagan in prominent roles.

The trailer of the movie was released on May 17, which is gaining a good response from the audience. The movie looks like a family drama film which also shows the bond between two siblings. Speaking about the film, the director told ‘Erumbu revolves around a young boy, played by Shakthi Ritvik, who loses a one-gram ring and he is on a mission to find it before his family returns home. His sister, played by Monica, and a friend, played by George Maryan, stand by him throughout the journey. Muthu must get back the ring as it would benefit their family, who are reeling under financial burden’.

He further told that the film is set in a rural backdrop and they shot the film at the end of 2021 in Kattumannarkoil near Aranthangi. The film will also explore the sister-brother bonds and family sentiments.’ The film is to be released in June.
