Divyanka, Vivek thank embassy for ‘ghar wapasi’

Stuck in Italy: Divyanka and Vivek’s Ordeal

Television actors Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya recently faced a harrowing experience while on vacation in Florence, Italy. The couple found themselves stuck in the country after their passports, along with cash worth ₹10 lakh, were stolen from their car last Wednesday. The actors were in the Italian tourist town when the incident occurred.

The robbery happened when Divyanka and Vivek stepped out for lunch, leaving their car parked at a resort where they were supposed to check in. Thieves smashed the window of their rented car, making off with their passports, cash, and cards. Despite this setback, the couple managed to replace their rented car as it was insured, and they retained their spirits through the ordeal.

Heading Home: Emergency Certificates Issued

Divyanka and Vivek shared an update with their fans via Instagram, posting a picture of themselves holding emergency certificates issued by the Indian embassy in Italy. The couple expressed gratitude for the support they received. Divyanka wore a blue top and matching earrings, while Vivek donned a white t-shirt and a wine polo cap. The caption of their joint post read, “Heading to Bharat soon. We want to thank ‘You’ for your overwhelming love and support. A big thanks to the Indian Embassy for making our ‘Ghar Wapasi’ (homecoming) possible.”

The emergency certificates, essential for those whose passports have been lost, stolen, or damaged, enabled the couple to return to India. In their update, Divyanka mentioned they had some belongings left in the boot of the car and assured their fans that their spirits remained intact despite the loss. “No one can snatch away,” she added, highlighting their resilience.

Divyanka Tripathi is widely recognized for her roles in popular TV shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. Vivek Dahiya, who made his television debut with Yeh Hai Aashiqui in 2013, married Divyanka in 2016. The couple starred together in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and have since been beloved by fans for their on-screen and off-screen chemistry.

Their quick action and the support from the Indian embassy ensured they could head back to India soon, leaving behind the unfortunate incident but carrying forward their positive spirits.
