Gadar 2 Makers to Re-release for Deaf audience on THIS Date

Zee Studios, in collaboration with India Signing Hands (ISH News), is excited to announce the re-release of the blockbuster film, Gadar 2, in celebration of its first anniversary. This sequel, which won the hearts of millions across the nation and became one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of all time, is making a return to the silver screen for a special cause.

In a pioneering effort to make cinema accessible to all, the film will be screened with Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation, specifically catering to Deaf audiences. Zee Studios, approached by ISH News, a Mumbai-based organization founded by Alok Kejriwal, has expressed their enthusiasm for this initiative. The screenings will be held at select PVR cinemas nationwide, providing an immersive cinematic experience for differently-abled audiences.

Sunny Deol On Re-release of Gadar 2

Sunny Deol, who reprised his role as the iconic Tara Singh, shared his excitement about the re-release. “Gadar 2 is a film that has, and always will have, a special place in my heart. So, it’s overwhelming to see the continued love and support from audiences one year after its release. This re-release with Indian Sign Language interpretation will allow the film to touch the hearts of even more audiences this time,” he said.

Ameesha Patel, who returns as Sakina, echoed his sentiments. “Being a part of the Gadar films has been an incredible journey for me. It feels great to be able to bring the story of Sakina back on the big screen for a special audience that does not get enough opportunities to fully enjoy cinema as the rest of us. I hope this initiative will inspire other filmmakers to make cinema more inclusive and accessible,” Patel added.
