Henry Cavill reportedly casted as VOLTRON in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios live-action film.
According to Hollywood Reporter director Rawson Marshall Thurber known for directing Netflix’s Red Notice will be helming the Amazon MGM Studios live-action VOLTRON , while Cavill will be joining the cast of Daniel Quinn-Toye , one of the space explorers.
In a recent conversation with a media , Henry revealed why he signed for Voltron role, He said, ”I definitely chose Voltron role to be contrary to Superman. Because when you have a movie of that size come out it’s human inclination to say ‘I now know what that person is’, and you have to fight against that as an actor.”
The Superman actor further said, “Not that I am going to go crazy and play a meth-head transsexual guy, but I want the freedom to show the audience that I have range. The first time people saw me on a world scale was Superman and that’s not necessarily what I do.”
Voltron is an animated television series franchise that features a team of space explorers who pilot a giant super robot known as “Voltron”.
