Rebel star Prabhas’s fans are eagerly waiting for his first mythological movie Adipurush. For the past few months, the movie team has been testing the patience of Darling fans by not releasing even the first look regarding Prabhas. The film is based on Ramayana in which Prabhas is essaying the role of Raghav while Kriti Sanon will be seen as Janaki. Saif Ali Khan is portraying the role of Lankesh. The film is said to be having almost all the sequences in computer graphics which is why the movie team are unable to release any first looks or teasers.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a Hindu Mythological drama. The film has huge expectations all over India. Being made with an estimated budget of over Rs 500 Crores, the film needs to do extensive business to at least reach the break-even point. In these times where even the most promoted movies are falling flat at the box office, it’s a great risk for the distributors of the film, opines trade experts. According to the latest reports, Prabhas’s own banner UV Creations is said to have taken the risk and bought the theatrical rights of Adipurush for a whopping Rs 100 Crore to distribute in the Telugu states. The trade circles are wondering whether UV banner can bring at least half of these Rs 100 crores back as for the past few months, heavy budget movies are not at all viable in the Telugu states. The current trend is that small and medium movies are reaching the safe bracket. If everything goes as per the movie team’s plan, Adipurush will hit the silver screens on the upcoming Pongal, i.e, the Sankranthi of 2023. One has to wait and see if UV will gain or lose in this gamble.
