Anusha Dandekar is an Indian-Australian who is best known as a VJ and host. Excluding that, she finds utmost pleasure in acting and singing. Anusha has appeared in multiple MTV shows – MTV’s House of Style. She later hosted MTV Dance Crew, MTV Teen Diva, MTV News and MTV Love School. This go-getter actress won Best VJ at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Awards. Anusha’s latest update is rather concerning. In the caption, she describes, “Just popping in to say hello… Quick story: went through a surgery for a lump in my ovary, the recovery has been pretty intense but also I’m really lucky all was okay… found a few more lumps while they were there, again super lucky everything Is great now… Just wanted to tell all the girls that are here reading this, to make sure you visit your Gynaecologist once a year without fail to stay ahead of your health and safety, I’ve been doing that since I was 17 and that’s how I can be so grateful I’m recovering well today. Thankyou to @drshwetaraje and her incredible team @womens.hospital for making me feel so safe and comfortable. Thankyou for everyone that came to the hospital and called and msgd constantly, you know who you are and I’m forever grateful to have you in my life. Still have a few weeks of full recovery ahead of me but it felt so good to walk outside today! Grateful beyond. Love you, Anusha xoxo”
Anusha is a caring human being who is looking out for all the girls who follow her. Ovarian cysts are usually harmless but some are fatal enough to require medical attention. Getting regular pelvic exams can help reduce your chances of experiencing problems with a cyst. Like Anusha says, check in on your ovaries through an ultrasound at least annually. Some alarming symptoms of ovarian lumps are pelvic pain, bloating, painful periods or pain during intercourse. To all the ladies out there, don’t wait till the cyst becomes cancerous. Stay vigilant!
