Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was everyone’s favourite for so many years. It was their constant, their mealtime show, their favourite pill of laughter. Yes, we’re talking in past tense because after what’s spilt in media about it’s producer Asit Modi’s sadist and cruel behaviour with the cast, the views and fandom of the TV serial has dropped tremendously. Sadly, the fans are not able to look at the show the same way again, knowing what behind the camera in the green room. The show that made everyone laugh is sitting on the tears of so many actors from the Gokuldham society.
This news has been making headlines for quite some time now. The recent update is, Jennifer Mistry, who played Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi, is accusing Asit Modi of persuading the prime witness Gurucharan Singh (Mr. Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV show) to dissolve the charges pushed on him.
She said, “Gurucharan knows everything and in May 2023, he called me and had assured me that he would be a witness for me in the court. He had categorically told me he would not comment in the media, but he will come to the court to support me.”
Jennifer further stated, “On June 9, when I went to meet him, he told me he was called to office on June 8 all of a sudden and all his outstanding dues, which were pending since the last three and a half years, were cleared. I realized he would not speak in my favour. I did not tell him anything, but he told me that he can be the neutral person between Asit Modi and me who can get us to sit across and discuss.”
For those who are clueless about what’s going on, Jennifer Mistry in May this year opened up about Asit Modi who had harassed her sexually a long time ago. Not just that, when she was on a leave because her brother passed away and she was paid even for her absenteeism, the TMKOC team abused and insulted her heartlessly. She has also claimed that they’ve troubled Nattu Kaka also. Overall, a lot of hidden cruelty is surfacing after Jennifer Mistry‘s courageous move, many members of the TMKOC cast have come up and revealed that they too, were troubled.
