Justin Timberlake Arrested for DWI: Refuses Breathalyzer Test

Justin Timberlake was arrested last Tuesday in Sag Harbor, NY, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after failing to stop at a stop sign and not staying in the proper lane. The pop star reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test and was taken into custody. His mugshot, released by the Sag Harbor Police Department, shows Timberlake with “glassy” and “bloodshot” eyes, as noted in the police complaint.

The incident occurred after Timberlake spent an evening at the American Hotel with friends. According to sources, police were already stationed outside the venue. After Timberlake left the hotel shortly after midnight, officers quickly pulled him over for a traffic violation. Reports indicate that Timberlake had run a stop sign and was observed swerving.

An insider revealed that Timberlake’s friends tried to intervene, telling the police to “let him go.” Despite their efforts, Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests” and refused to take a breathalyzer. Interestingly, the arresting officer did not recognize Timberlake or his name, leading to a brief exchange where Timberlake mentioned his ongoing world tour.

Timberlake Faces Multiple Charges and Upcoming Court Date

Following his arrest, Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two additional traffic violations: failing to stop at a stop sign and not staying in the proper lane. The police report described Timberlake as having “bloodshot” and “glassy” eyes, along with a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath. Despite these signs of intoxication, Timberlake claimed he had only consumed “one martini.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Eddie Burke Jr., commented on the situation, stating, “He was a gentleman. He didn’t show any entitlement at all. He did refuse the tests, but that is his right.” Just hours after his arrest, Timberlake was seen leaving the police station wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a grey vintage T-shirt, black jacket, blue jeans, and white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.

The Friends with Benefits star’s next court date is scheduled for July 26. As the legal proceedings unfold, Timberlake’s arrest has raised concerns about how it might affect his career, including his ongoing world tour. Fans and the media will be closely watching to see how the situation develops and what impact it may have on Timberlake’s public image and professional commitments.
