Kangana Ranaut and Chirag Paswan spotted holding hands

A Reunion at NDA’s Parliamentary Meet

Kangana Ranaut and Chirag Paswan, who starred together in the 2011 movie Mile Na Mile Hum, reunited at the NDA’s Parliamentary meet in New Delhi on Friday. Both now soon-to-be Members of Parliament, Kangana and Chirag shared a warm moment, reminiscing about their past collaboration. Kangana, dressed in a mint blue saree, greeted Chirag with a handshake and laughter, as others looked on. While Kangana is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chirag is the chief of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).

Their Cinematic Past

Mile Na Mile Hum, released in 2011, was Chirag Paswan’s only film. In it, he played a tennis player who falls for Kangana’s character. Despite Chirag’s short-lived acting career, their professional relationship left a lasting impression. Chirag had expressed his eagerness to meet Kangana again, stating, “We shared a good relationship, worked in a film. We will be meeting in Parliament. I think she is a strong lady; she voices herself very articulately and I am looking forward to listening to her in Parliament.”

The Chandigarh Incident

Kangana Ranaut recently made headlines for an incident at the Chandigarh airport, where she was allegedly slapped and abused by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur. The altercation occurred just days after Kangana won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. Reports suggest that Kulwinder Kaur was upset with Kangana over her stance on the farmers’ protests. Following the incident, Kaur was suspended, and an FIR was lodged against her. The CISF has ordered a court of inquiry into the matter.

Kangana’s Political Milestone

Kangana Ranaut’s election to the Lok Sabha marks a significant milestone. She has become the fourth woman ever to be elected to Lok Sabha from Himachal Pradesh and the first woman who is not from an erstwhile royal family. Kangana defeated Congress rival Vikramaditya Singh, scion of Rampur state and the incumbent state public works minister, by a margin of 74,755 votes from the Mandi constituency.

As Kangana Ranaut and Chirag Paswan transition from co-stars to colleagues in Parliament, their journey from the silver screen to the political arena adds a unique chapter to their careers. With their diverse backgrounds and shared history, their contributions to the Lok Sabha are eagerly anticipated by their supporters and constituents alike.
