Kappela is one of the super hit films in Malayalm film industry. The film was supposed to get remade in Telugu. The remake rights were brought and the cast was finalized too. Sitara Entertainments bagged the remake rights of the film and started the shoot with Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Anaika and Arjun Das in the lead roles.
However, the makers have now stopped the shoot after SIddhu walked out of the film saying that he would not be willing to do the film as he portrays a negative character and it would affect his new image after the success of DJ Tillu.
The makers are not able to find another actor who would fit in the role and with all the fresh faces, it is difficult for the team to sell and market the film.
As a result, it is rumored that the project has been kept on hold as nothing is working out, in the favour of the team.
