Karan’s Controversial Statement On Bollywood Goes Viral

K.G.F. 2 has been one of the most successful films this year in Bollywood. Despite being a dubbed film, it bagged a huge blockbuster in Hindi.

On the other hand, Bollywood has been facing constant rejection from its audiences. Except for ‘The Kashmir Files’ and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, no other movie got a notable success. This indicates that the post-pandemic box office hasn’t been kind to the Bollywood industry and desperately needs a hit.

Marking the same, Bollywood hit-maker Karan made some interesting comments. In an interview with Film Companion, Karan said, ‘When I read the reviews of K.G.F., I’m like if we made this, we would be lynched. But here, everybody is like, ‘Oh it was a celebration, a party, and it was. I loved it. I loved it with all my heart”.

“But I feel If we have done this movie in Bollywood? It’s working both ways. I feel we are also not given any kind of leeway and then we are trying to be somebody else. So, we are all over the place. We are living a dual existence, and we have to stop”, he added.

However, while some North-Indian audiences oppose Karan’s comments, few support his statement. They are also pointing out Bollywood, saying, at least now the industry has to stop doing crappy love stories blended with remix songs.
