Kartik Aaryan says after Shehzada, he decided not do remakes

Kartik Aryan after Shehzada

Kartik Aaryan’s latest appearance was in ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha,’ alongside Kiara Advani. Prior to that, he featured in ‘Shehzada,’ a remake of the 2020 Telugu movie ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo,’ co-starring Kartik and Kriti Sanon. Unfortunately, the film did not achieve success at the box office. In a recent interview, Kartik mentioned that he has decided not to pursue remakes in his future projects

During an interview with BBC Asian Network in London, actor Kartik Aaryan shared his views on participating in remake films. He emphasized his decision to abstain from future remake projects, citing his recent filming experience as a revelation of the lack of originality in such movies.

“I’ve come to a significant realization that I won’t engage in remake projects. This recent experience marked my first time working on a remake film, and it was an entirely new encounter for me, being captured on camera and portrayed on screen. Interestingly, during the filming process, I wasn’t fully aware of this aspect,” Kartik Aaryan expressed during the interview.

Kartik Aaryan further elaborated, “This is a substantial decision, as remakes frequently come along, and scripts that involve remakes are quite common. However, I’ve concluded that I won’t find satisfaction in pursuing such projects. I prefer to engage in roles that haven’t been previously portrayed by someone else.” Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming project is “Chandu Champion,” which is being directed by Kabir Khan.
