Kriti Sanon, who is now enjoying the success of Crew, recalls not receiving the correct opportunities and losing out on desirable roles to nepo- kids with Bollywood connections in her early days.
Actress Kriti Sanon is now enjoying the success of her latest film Crew, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu.
Her performance in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was recently praised by both audiences and critics alike.
She may be riding high on recent successes, but Kriti’s 10-year journey in the film industry has not been easy, as she has faced numerous hurdles.
In a candid discussion with Pinkvilla, the Heropanti actor admits to feeling depressed throughout her career due to better chances being given to ‘star kids’.
Kriti stated, “There was a time when I was quite restless because I knew I had far more ability than I could demonstrate in the possibilities that were presented to me.
I desired something deeper. I wanted something that would allow me to demonstrate my acting potential more fully,” she further said.

When discussing how she lost opportunities and better parts to star kids, she stated, “I was getting upset because I was like, I know I can do it; I know I can kill it, but I don’t have it in front of me.
At that point, I was also seeing some fresh faces, some of whom came from the film background, coming in with no experience and receiving opportunities that I was like, “How,” she said.
She opened up about her ambition to prove her potential and the hurdles she experienced along the way, saying, “I always say this as an actor ,You can only fill a vessel to its capacity. If it’s little, you can only pour so much water. So I’ve been seeking for that bada vessel for a long time.
As per Koimoi reports, Kriti Sanon commanded a fee ranging from Rs 3-4 crores for her role in the film. Her previous appearance was in “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” alongside Shahid Kapoor.
