With two more days to go, expectations from Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming release Leo are sky-high because of his reuniting with his ‘Master’ director Lokesh Kanagaraj. For the Tamil film industry, 200 crore worldwide is still a benchmark figure barring Rajinikanth.
Now Leo is eyeing to cross that benchmark with just pre-sales itself. The advance sales of Leo until today are close to 125 crores worldwide. Around 60 crores are collected in pre-sales for its four-day weekend while 64 crores are collected internationally.
Tamil Nadu is leading with pre-sales in India banking 35 crores for the weekend and is estimated to cross the 50 crore mark easily Kerala saw the second recording for opening day fall yesterday as the film surpassed around 8 crores and will soon become the first film to cross double digit in the state.
As per morning updates, Leo has sold over 13 lakh tickets all across the country through advance booking for day 1. This ticket sales equals a sum of a whopping 26.30 crores gross, which is phenomenal with Karnataka hitting the 9 crore mark. Leo will be released on October 19.
