Liger is a Bigger Disaster than Acharya

Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger was released in theatres on August 25 amidst huge promotions. However, this film projected as pan-India has been completely rejected by the audience all over the nation.

This film failed to pull the audience to the theatres. Despite the film’s team promotions across India for a whole month, the movie has crashed miserably at the box office. Worst thing is that the movie stood out at the Bollywood box-office as a disaster and has earned around 16 crore so far.

Meanwhile, the collections of this Puri Jagganath directorial have also dropped drastically in Telugu states. According to trade reports, Liger is an even bigger disaster than Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s film Acharya, which was released on April 29.

Sharing the same, Andhra Box Office took to its twitter and wrote, “#Liger is a Bigger Disaster than #Acharya (32.5%) in terms of ROI for the Buyers. It is unlikely to recover even 30%. There isn’t a single Theatre where it managed to collect Rent on Monday. Business is as good as closed.”

Made on a budget of almost Rs 180 crore, ‘Liger’ seems to be suffering from not being able to recover the investment.
