Mallu Megastar Mohanlal’s Lucifer was a sensational hit as soon as it was released. Directed by the actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film breathed fresh air into the political genre films. The film received accolades as well as box office collections. Now, the movie team announced that they are making a sequel to the earlier film. It’s titled Lucifer 2 ‘Empuraan’. Reportedly, the story will be revolving around the lead actor’s secret past in which he dominated the mafia underworld.
While ending the first part, it is shown that a commoner called Stephen Gattupally has a past life in which he was called mafia leader Abraham Kureshi. But, nothing about his role as Kureshi was shown. The sequel will be concentrating on that life and how Stephen went on to become a Don. Megastar Chiranjeevi is remaking the film as Godfather under the direction of Mohan Raja. Chiru’s movie will release long before Lucifer 2. As a result, fans are eager to know whether the Godfather team will go for the sequel too once this movie releases. While Prithvi Raj played a cameo in the ending of the original, Chiru and co have brought Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on board to essay the same role. As the plot suggests, Prithvi Raj’s character will be having a good past with Stephen and his character’s arc might be seen more in the sequel. If the mega team attempts the sequel as well, then will they bring Salman again for that lengthy role? The answer to this question would be interesting. Anyway, for now, Mohanlal fans are overjoyed with the announcement of the sequel.
