Made in Heaven writer said she knew that Barbie movie won’t workout in India

Made in Heaven

The highly anticipated Made in Heaven season has debuted. The Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur series, which is set against the backdrop of lavish Indian weddings, throws light on the complexity of relationships. Writing and directing the show, Alankrita Shrivastava explained to indianexpress.com how the support from fans evolved into a duty rather than a source of pressure.

“As people enquired about the second season, we could feel the love from them (fans). Yes, there was pressure, but it was also a lot of support. It was like taking a shot in the dark when we were writing and filming the first season. We were unsure of how people would respond.

However, the love we experienced inspired and motivated us to delve further and explore more in season 2. Love was not just an emotion; it was also a duty and a sense of security. The new season is larger, more complex, and nuanced. Along with making it more magnificent, we also wanted to make it more profound and moving. There is greater delight although there is also more despair and pain, she said.

She also mentioned that “So not just guest characters, we have also added two more running characters, so that you get the core of season one yet there’s something fresh and interesting.”
