Madonna’s son David Banda goes broke

David Banda, son of pop icon Madonna, has embarked on a journey of independence despite his mother’s staggering $850 million net worth. The 18-year-old has relocated to an apartment in The Bronx, New York, where he is working hard to make a living on his own. In a recent interview with The Sun UK, David opened up about his new lifestyle and the challenges he faces.

David, who now teaches online guitar lessons, shared that he enjoys his new life, despite the financial struggles. He explained, “I love it. I’m not on my own. I’ve got my girlfriend. But I love it,” referring to his partner Maria Atuesta. David’s positive outlook on his situation reflects his determination to fend for himself and experience life independently.

David’s Financial Struggles and Madonna’s New Relationship

Living in The Bronx, David has faced moments of hardship, including times when he has had to “scavenge” for food due to a lack of funds. In an Instagram live session, he candidly spoke about these experiences, saying, “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realising that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging. It’s fun to be young.”

Despite these challenges, David remains upbeat and focused on his goals. He also revealed that his mother, Madonna, has a new man in her life after her split from Josh Popper. He said, “Truth be told, she’s not single. She’s dating a guy… That’s her life. She’ll do what she wants to do,” referring to Jamaican-born footballer Akeem Morris.

David Banda, adopted by Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie from Malawi in 2006, is carving his own path away from the comforts of his mother’s wealth. While the exact timeline of his move out of Madonna’s house is unclear, Madonna expressed her concern for her children during a health scare in July, stating, “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.”

David’s Views on Reality TV and Future Plans

In addition to his music career, David Banda is a fan of reality TV shows. He admitted to enjoying shows like Love Island and Perfect Match, explaining, “Reality TV is great because it allows people to forget about their day and enter a virtual world where you get to peer into other people’s lives.”

David’s journey is a testament to his resilience and desire to live life on his own terms. Despite the financial security his mother could provide, he is determined to build his own future and learn from the experiences that come with independence.
