One of the films that gained good response and came out of Sekhar Kammula’s box was leader. Coming out of his love stories genre, Sekhar Kammula directed this film as a political entertainer. This 2010 released film, which marked Rana Daggubati’s big-screen debut, was produced by AVM Productions.
Right from a few days, speculations are rife that Sekhar Kammula is in plans to do a sequel for this movie. Surprisingly, as per the rumours in industry, Rana is not the choice for the hero role in Leader 2. For a few days, it is said Suriya is going to play the lead role, but keeping check to all these, now as per the trusted sources, Sekhar Kammula is planning to rope Super Star Mahesh Babu for Leader 2.
Adding fuel to the news, Aruna Guhan’s comments stated that there are high chances Mahesh being the lead role in Leader 2. Arun Guhan, one of the producers of AVM banner was asked a question by media members in an event if it’s true that Mahesh Babu and Sekhar Kammula will be collaborating for ‘Leader 2’. In response to the question, Aruna Guhan said that the project might happen. “There have been some conversations. I think we have to wait and watch” she added.
On the work front, currently Sekhar Kammula is busy with the works of Kollywood actor Dhanush’s film.
