Margot Robbie’s Barbie Press Tour Wardrobe

Margot Robbie has dazzled audiences with her performances in big banner projects since her debut in “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2013) alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Over the years, she has starred in notable films like “Suicide Squad” (2016), “I, Tonya” (2017), “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019), and “Babylon” (2022). However, her most significant project to date is Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” released in July last year. Margot, who co-produced the film, led the billion-dollar feminist dystopian grosser with an unforgettable performance. While the film’s vintage, pink-themed ensembles were iconic, Margot’s press tour wardrobe, curated by stylist Andrew Mukamal, stood out as she promoted the biggest film of the year globally. Let’s revisit some of her most iconic looks from the press tour.

Iconic Pink Ensembles

Margot kicked off her Barbie press tour in an almost all Bottega Veneta outfit, featuring a custom Knotted Melange Pleated Skirt with a matching bustier in bubble pink. The look was accessorized with a Mini Cabat in Ribbon from Bottega Veneta, heart-shaped Jessica McCormack jewelry, a vintage Chanel rhinestone anklet, and white-framed Maison Margiela shades.

Inspired by 2014’s ‘Pink and Fabulous’ Barbie doll, Margot wore a custom polka-dotted pink and white bodycon dress, paired with a bright yellow Rockstud Spike Bag from Valentino and pristine white Manolo Blahnik pointed pumps.

Holographic ensembles were a staple in Margot’s press tour wardrobe. One standout look featured a knitted pale pink turtleneck crop sweater paired with a pleated holographic miniskirt, both from Versace. Another striking holographic look included a vintage Versace skater dress paired with Metallic Jadifa Mules from Manolo Blahnik.

Red Carpet and Off-Duty Looks

For the London premiere of “Barbie,” Margot channeled the 1960s ‘Enchanted Evening’ Barbie doll with a custom baby pink Vivienne Westwood satin gown, complete with a corseted bodice and a ruched waist. Christian Louboutin Degramules and a layered pearl necklace and earrings from Assael completed the look.

At the LA premiere, Margot surprised everyone with an all-black ensemble inspired by the 1960s ‘Solo in the Spotlight’ Barbie doll. She wore a custom Schiaparelli sequined midi gown by Daniel Roseberry, paired with black Manolo Blahnik Patent leather mules and Lorraine Schwartz diamond jewelry.

Even off-duty, Margot channeled Barbie, seen in an Adidas x Gucci set featuring a powder pink sweatshirt and light pink wide-leg pants. A Chanel Deauville shopping bag in coral pink and Versace Medusa platform sandals completed her airport look.

Margot’s Versatile Wardrobe

While pink dominated her wardrobe, Margot also incorporated other colors and prints. She wore a yellow tweed mini skirt set from Chanel with a white Quilted Feather bag and a black and white striped bodycon dress from Herve Leger inspired by the 1959 ‘Mattel’s First Barbie’ doll. Notably, she also donned a strawberry-stamped romper from Moschino and a tweed and sequin skirt suit set from Miu Miu in powder blue.

Margot Robbie’s extensive and varied wardrobe from the Barbie press tour is detailed in her and stylist Andrew Mukamal’s book, “Barbie: The World Tour.” We wish Margot a very happy 34th birthday!
