Mrunal Thakur, sounds familiar? She’s from the famous Indian television soap opera Kumkum Bhagya. Remember her now? Apart from his serial, she has also prominently worked in Hindi, Telugu, and Marathi cinema. She received recognition and success after becoming a part of biographical pieces like Super 30 and Batla House.
Now, if you still can’t seem to recall her, you must’ve definitely heard the hype about the recent Tollywood superhit movie Sita Raman. The famous song ‘Ghodey Pe Sawaar’ is from this movie and the lead actress is none other than Mrunal Thakur. With this masterpiece. she has undoubtedly paved the foundation of her success and fame.
The latest news is that she has come up with a plan to start her debut at Cannes Film Festival 2023. For those who are unaware, Cannes Film Festival was first held in France in 1946 as an artistic movement. In present times, it has become a raft for people interested in performing arts and movies.
Coming back to her arrival at the festival, she will be in the French Rivera from 17th May to 19th May. Her Instagram is evidently full of chic poses and outfits, making her feed as colourful as the evening sky. Mrunal, on Pinkvilla says, “I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. I am looking forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer.”
Clearly, when budding artist goes to such enormous events, the opportunity they get to create a global network multiplies by a hundred.
