Natural Star Nani’s periodical drama Shyam Singharoy didn’t make much noise at the box office as expected. But, in good news for the fans, the film is planned to be sent to the Oscar Nominations. The makers are thinking of sending the film in three categories namely Periodic film, background score and classical cultural dance indie film. If the film will be nominated for at least one of the categories, it will be a proud moment for the Indian film industry, says the film experts. Nani portrayed the titular role while lady power star Sai Pallavi donned the female lead role.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the flick was bankrolled by the Niharika Entertainment banner. The songs and background score for the movie were provided by Mickey J Meyer. While theatre box office numbers were not up to the mark, Shyam Singharoy was in the top trends of Netflix. It was in the top 10 of Netflix for a whopping 10 weeks. As the film is a different genred, it helped Nani to showcase his talent in a different film rather than the routine rom-com genres he usually does. The film also starred Krithi Shetty, Madonna Sebastian and Rahul Ravindran. The flashback episodes are the key parts of the movie which left the audience awestruck. For now, Natural Star is busy with his latest project Dasara. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film sees a complete mass changeover of Nani. His rustic looks and rural Telangana accent have already generated hype on the project. The movie team says that the plot revolves around a coal mine worker and his life.
