Nawazuddin Siddiqui says screening films at CANNES is easy

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most popular and talented actors in Bollywood. His recent film Afwaah which is a mystery thriller has failed at the box office collections. He recently appeared in the ongoing 76th Cannes Festival. As many as eight films in which he features have been screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actor who has attended the film festival nine times spoke about it in an interview and told how easy it is to get your film screened at the event. He said, ‘There are auditoriums, hire them, give money to the owner of the auditorium, lay your own red carpet, take your own people, click photos there, and show the movie to your people. Come back and say, ‘Our film got screened at Cannes Film Festival.’

These comments were made by him after Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’ got a 7-minute standing ovation at the event. Nawazuddin also said that he fails to understand why celebrities go to attend Cannes. This year’s Cannes Festival was attended by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Manushi Chillarr, Mrunal Thakur, Diana Penty, Urvashi Rautela, Mouni Roy, and more.
