“If you ask me about my mother’s influence, I’ve started noticing it more after I started acting. Certain characters, like the one in Malik, or in Great Indian Kitchen, that’s how I’m able to relate to my mother because Malikayi’s character is, she is around 35 or 36 years old. In Malik, when my son died, I didn’t know how to do it. I couldn’t find the emotion. It could be wrong but then I thought about how my mother would react if something happened to me. I didn’t understand then but now I know how much she has influenced me and I always say this, whatever I am today, whatever artist and person I am it is because of her. The sacrifices she made, are a lot for me.” Shared Nimisha Sajayan.
