No Megastar For Liger!

Rowdy Vijay Deverakonda rose to nationwide fame with just a few movies. Rising to a position is obviously not that easy but maintaining the position is even more difficult. That is why Vijay is looking up to the success of Liger. Even though he got into the limelight with Arjun Reddy, this is the proper launching movie for him into Bollywood. Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the film has a good buzz all around. While the film is slated to be released on the 25 of August, the Pre-release event is being planned in Guntur. Ever since the event news popped up, there have been rumours that Megastar Chiranjeevi will grace the event as a chief guest. But the movie team brushed aside all the rumours.

They are saying that these are just rumours and they have not planned or currently planning on inviting any other stars. Puri is confident that Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Pandey and himself are enough for the event to take centre stage in filmy news. Moreover, Puri didn’t have good terms with Chiru ever since the latter asked him to correct the script of Auto Jani. Meanwhile, Karan Johar has become the obstacle for Liger in Bollywood. There have been calls to boycott Liger on social media since he is acting as the producer for the film in the Hindi belt. His banner Dharma Productions is looking after the Bollywood necessities of the film yet the latest boycott calls are making the movie team tense. Well, nothing can stop people from thronging the theatres if the content is good or else no amount of promotions can help.

In another Liger news, the movie’s censor is completed and the censor board did a lot of cutting and mutes. The runtime is 2 hours and 20 minutes. The Censor board has given the certification of U/A and mute at 7 scenes. According to the censor report: As the male lead in the film has a stammering problem, a quote from British Novelist David Mitchelle was inserted in the Hindi translation. Replaced a few dialogues which are completely A-rated. The f word was muted a lot of times. The obscene finger gesture, too, was blurred in a few scenes.
