Oppenheimer is Nolan first r rated film in 20 years

Christopher Nolan fans are stunned as ”Oppenheimer ”gets his first R-rated film in over 20 years. Nolan has notably been sticking with page r ratings in the years since 13 movies. His films Memento (2000) and Insomnia(2002) are also R-rated too.

Oppenheimer is Nolan’s dream and prestigious project about the inventor of the atom bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer and features Cillian Murphy in a title role, Emily Blunt as Robert’s wife Katherine Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as Lieutenant General Leslie Grover, Robert Downy Jr as Lewis Strauss, Rami Mlaek as Computer hacker Elliot Anderson and Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock.

It is also Nolan’s longest film, clocking in at just under three hours. Nolan is co-producing with his wife Emma Thomas and Charles Roven. Music composed by Ludwig Goransson, edited by Jennifer Lame, and Cinematography by Hoyte Van Hoytema. Oppenheimer opens in cinemas on July 21 along with Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
