The 96th Academy Awards show drew a four-year high of 19.5 million viewers, up 4% from the previous year. The Oscars were the number one trend on social media on Sunday night.

The Oscars show on Sunday that honored the atomic bomb thriller ‘Oppenheimer’ reached a four-year high in viewership, with an average audience of nearly 19.5 million on ABC, the Walt Disney-owned (DIS.N), opens new tab network said on Monday.

The audience increased by 4% from last year, when 18.8 million people watched the film industry’s top accolades.

The show celebrated two of last year’s highest-grossing films, Margot Robbie’s ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer,’ a blockbuster biopic about the race to build the first atomic bomb, won seven Oscars on Sunday, including best picture.

The Oppenheimer great wins, Oscar winners emotional speeches, Ryan Gosling’s I am Just Ken’s outstanding performance, and John Cena getting naked contributed to the multimillion-dollar victory.
