Though Priyamani is a native of Kannada, she gained popularity in Tollywood and has done most of her films in Telugu. Although she acted in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam films, she experienced star status only in Tollywood.
After the end of her career as a heroine, she has now turned to TV shows and negative roles in the film. Priyamani, who was recently impressed with the role of the villain in the movie Custody, recently spoke about the trolling she faced on social media.
She said that body shaming trolls are not new to her, but when she got married to her beloved Mustafa, she faced severe opposition. However, she said that she moved on regardless of all this. “I don’t care much for online trolling. I still face criticism for body shaming and the color of my face. But putting all this aside, when I fell in love with Mustafa and got married, I faced extreme opposition on the social media platform”, she said.
When we posted our engagement photos on social media, they insulted us asking “Why are you marrying a Muslim man”. I have one thing to say to all those who make such comments, “This is my life. It is completely up to me who I want to share my life with. I don’t want to get hurt by trolls by giving them unnecessary attention”. Priyamani is currently playing a pivotal role in Tamil director Atlee’s Jawaan starring Shah Rukh Khan.
