This year’s Academy invites have been dished out ! Inviting 398 new artists and performers to join the organization of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, who present the extremely prestigious ‘Oscars’. Of the many highly acclaimed invitees were RRR’s, Jr. N.T.R, Ram Charan, M.M Keeravani, Chandra Bose, Senthil Kumar and Sabu Cyril.
What shocked netizens was how Rajamouli was not included as other film makers such as Karan Johar and Mani Ratnam were. Being the main man behind the film’s bountiful success, one would think he would be the first to receive an invite, but due to the massive win of the song “Natu Natu”, it looks like the song has somehow over-shadowed the film’s own director!
Rajamouli, though depicting immense grace, took to Twitter to congratulate his fellow RRR cast and crew members and all other Indian Invitees, stating he was beyond proud that 6 of them belonged to the RRR family. The film’s “Bheem”, Jr. N.T.R penned a thankyou showing his gratitude for the opportunity. Despite the epic director’s unfortunate snub, this is a moment of great honor for the invitees and pride for Indian cinema lovers.
