Rana To Remake Maanadu?

Rana Daggubati doesn’t have many notable films after the success of Baahubali. Though there is no lack of talent, it’s all about choosing the right scripts. After the Baahubali Conclusion, his movies weewNene Raju Nene Mantri, NTR Mahanayakudu, Housefull 4, Aranya, 1945, Bheemla Nayak and Virataparvam. In all of these except for Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Bheemla Nayak, no other movie has his noted presence. As for Virata Parvam, all the limelight was focussed mainly on the lady power star Sai Pallavi rather than the Ravanna. It’s more like his special role in a Sai Pallavi film.

Now, Rana is looking for a solid hit yet again with a thrilling entertainer. If the reports are to be believed, the Daggubati scion will star in the remake of Tamil superhit Maanadu. With a complex plot line revolving around the time loop, the film was a sensational hit in Tamil. While Silambarasan was cast as the protagonist, SJ Suryah essayed the antagonist role to perfection. Venkat Prabhu was the director of the film. Kalyani Priyadarshan, Anjana Kirti, and Premgi Amaren were the key characters of the film. It is a drama between a common man and a bad cop. With both of them stuck in the time loop, the story is about how they will get out of that loop and in which way a common man stops an all-powerful cop forms the crux of the story. It’s interesting to see which role will Rana like to play. Will he be the bad cop or good samaritan? We have to wait.
