Samantha opens up about her Divorce for the first time

South Indian top actress Samantha needs no introduction to the viewers. She made a mark for herself in the industry with her first film itself and has been ruling the industry as a Star Heroine for more than a decade. She dated Naga Chaitanya for over 7 years and got married in both Hindu and Christian rituals and became a favorite couple of fans. After 4 years of marriage, this couple announced their separation through social media.

From then, both the actors were tightlipped about their divorce. After the divorce, Samantha faced a lot of difficulties in her personal life. she is back to films now and busy with her films in Bollywood and Tollywood. Her next film ‘Shaakuntalam’ is all set to hit the screens on the 14th of this April. As a part of this promotion, Samantha responded about her divorce leaving everyone shocked.

Samantha said, ”Immediately after my divorce, I got the ‘Oo antava’ song offer, I accepted it within no time because I felt, the mistake isn’t mine, then why should I stay at home? And after the song was announced, my family and friends called me saying, it won’t look good if u do item songs right after the divorce, u stay at home, that’s enough. Friends and family who always encourage me were stopping me. I gave my 100% in my marriage, but it didn’t work out and we got divorced. Why should I feel guilty about that? why should I blame myself for that? Myositis made a lot of changes in my life, I struggled a lot to look beautiful as an actress. Due to the effects of Myosistis, I look chubby at times, I look weak and my eyes can’t see light. I had to manage it with the Specs. As an actor, our eyes should be expressive but I go this situation. I wish no actress should get into this situation. I have faced a lot of difficulties and I still have the courage to face many. But, I won’t compromise on myself’.

Currently, Samantha is working on the films ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda and ‘Citadel’ with Varun Dhawan.
