Seerat Kapoor is celebrating a milestone this August, marking a decade since her debut in the film industry. Her first film, Run Raja Run, hit theaters in 2014. In a full-circle moment, Seerat reunited with her first co-star, Sharwanand, for her latest release, Manamey, which premiered this June. “Right from the start, Sharwanand and I had this instant connection as actors, and it has only gotten better with time,” she shared in a recent interview.
Seerat played Tanya in Manamey and accepted the project eagerly because it offered her the chance to work with Sharwanand again. “Sharwanand is an incredible actor, it takes grit and courage to pick the kind of roles he does. I’ve always been inspired by his choices and the fact that he never loses authenticity. While working with him in Manamey was right within my comfort zone, there was also a sense of mutual respect and admiration,” she explained.
Addressing Dating Rumours and Future Projects
Seerat Kapoor also addressed the dating rumours with Aman Preet Singh that have been circulating after pictures of them together surfaced online. Their chemistry in the song “Aao Na” further fueled speculation. Seerat clarified, “Well, I am someone who unapologetically wears her heart on her sleeve. I understand that people are curious and I don’t fault them for that. However, when I do find love, I won’t hide it. But for now, my focus remains on my family and work.”
Seerat is passionate about choosing roles that resonate with her and challenge her as an actor. “To strike a connection with the audience is a blessing. So, I listen to my heart when choosing roles and films that resonate with me as an individual. I also have a knack for reading scripts from the point of view of the audience,” she said. Her desire to portray versatile characters stems from her early days in theatre, and she is driven by fans who appreciate her ability to play complex roles.
Looking ahead, Seerat has several projects in the pipeline, spanning various genres. “I’m shooting for a thriller, there’s another which is a sci-fi, and I’m also dancing in a massy number. I’m just gearing up to show myself in a new avatar,” she revealed. Seerat is also excited about having dubbed her own dialogues in Telugu for the first time in Manamey, a dream she hopes to continue fulfilling in future projects.
