Sharvari needed five hours for Munjya transformation

Sharvari, who is enjoying the success of her latest film Munjya, opened up about the intense process of transforming into her character. She shared the rigorous routine, “When the Munjya prosthetics was happening, it used to take me 5 hours every morning for the whole prosthetics to come together and another one and a half hours to remove. We had a team of 5-6 people constantly touching up because of the very minute details.”

She further explained the challenges of embodying the Munjya character, a complete CGI creation. “When I had to do the Munjya bits, I had no reference for my body language. The Munjya you see in the film is not a real person. The whole idea was to keep the growls, the face, and the dialogues real. Director Aditya Sarpotdar and I discussed the body language extensively. We shot videos to ensure consistency in my performance,” she added.

Sharvari Celebrates First 100 Crore Blockbuster

Sharvari registered her first 100 crore blockbuster with Munjya. Sharing her excitement, she said, “I have been awed by the big stars who have huge 100 crore and above hits. To think that so many people have come to theatres to see me and appreciate my work is overwhelming. Munjya is only the second release of my career, so to taste this kind of success so early is hugely motivating.”

The actress acknowledged the importance of hits in her career, stating, “Every hit allows me to get better roles and work. The pressure to survive and thrive in this industry is insane, and I’m thankful to my industry for accepting me. Being the 100 crore girl definitely has a nice ring to it, and this will get me to work harder every time I face the camera.”

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and rooted in Marathi folklore, Munjya has attracted audiences to theatres since its release on June 7. It also stars Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj. Sharvari expressed her gratitude to producer Dinesh Vijan, director Aditya Sarpotdar, and the Maddock team for their support and faith in her talent.

Looking ahead, Sharvari will share screen space with Alia Bhatt in YRF’s spy universe film, though an official announcement is awaited. She also stars in Vedaa with John Abraham, helmed by Nikkhil Advani, set to release on Independence Day.
