Sharwanand’s latest film Oke Oka Jeevitham opened with a very ordinary collection owing to the lack of publicity. But just like Sitharamam, Bimbisara and Karthikeya 2, the film is picking up on just word of mouth and social media talk. Trade pundits confirm that the collections are in the ascension. As Brahmastra too yielded an average result, there is every chance for OOJ to go on to become a blockbuster, they say. It is already evident that irrespective of the budget nowadays, the movies are being watched solely based on their content and entertainment rather than star casting or the money spent. As of now, it seems like OOJ will join this year’s surprise blockbusters as well.
Along with the positive word of mouth, many netizens are demanding that the film should be released in the Hindi belt as well. Since good Telugu movies are doing great business in Hindi circles, Sharwa’s film might hit the sweet spot too, like Karthikeya 2, says the netizens. It has to be seen what the makers will decide on the Hindi release. Meanwhile, the movie’s OTT platform was locked. Sony Liv bagged the post-theatrical rights of the flick. After his recent lineup of flops like Sreekaram, Maha Samudram, and Adavallu Miku Joharlu, Sharwa is back with the hit of Oke Oka Jeevitham. Directed by Shree Karthick, the film is bankrolled by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu on Dream Warrior Pictures. Alongside Sharwanand, Amala Akkineni, Ritu Varma, Vennela Kishore, and Priyadarshi played key roles in this time travelling emotional drama.
