Shweta Basu Prasad To Direct Noted Actor

Actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who is known for her role in the film “Kotha Bangar Lockam”, found herself in major trouble in the year 2014 when she was accused of being involved in a prostitution racket.

After her name cropped up in it, the actress got arrested in Hyderabad and sent to a rescue home for over 2 months. However, she managed to get a clean chit in the case from the court and got released.

Well, after getting released, she issued a strong statement, slamming all those who actively circulated false news on her and later continued her acting profession in Bollywood.

Interestingly, now the actress is going to take out the director chair. Yes, what you heard is right. Swetha Basu Prasad who is famous in Bollywood as well for her roles like ‘Makdee’ and Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Iqbaal’, is all set to direct a Bollywood short film titled Retake, with Anupam Kher in key role.

Sharing the same, Anupam Kher who acted in recent hits “Karthikeya 2” and “Kashmir files” announced about the project through his social media account.

Anupam Kher took to his twitter and wrote, “My 530th film is a short film titled Retake. Written and directed by the extremely talented Swetha Basu Prasad”.

Bankrolled by Applause Entertainment, the short film is said to have Divyenndu Sharma, Danish and Zarin in crucial roles.
