Suniel Shetty: Focused on Family, Not Business Empire

Suniel Shetty, a prominent figure in the film industry for over 30 years, recently opened up about his personal and professional life on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast. Despite the perception that he is a “big businessman,” Shetty clarified that his primary motivation has always been to provide a better life for his family, not to build a business empire. He emphasized that his decisions were often driven by emotions, and he remained resilient even when his films did not perform well.

A Humble Approach to Wealth and Success

Suniel Shetty addressed the misconception about his wealth and lifestyle, stating, “There is a perception that I am a big businessman, which actually isn’t true. I do my bit and I live within my means. You will never see me driving four cars; I drive one and enjoy it for two years. If I want a house, I want that one. I won’t settle for anything ordinary. When I can afford it, I will do my best.” Shetty’s focus has always been on creating a comfortable and inviting home for his family rather than accumulating material wealth.

He shared the story of his farmhouse, built 16 years ago, which now holds significant emotional value. “People today say, ‘You must see Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse;’ I built it 16 years ago! Back then, its financial valuation was perhaps nothing, but my idea was to grow up with my children, Athiya and Ahan, to spend time with them over the weekend and do farming; all the trees there are planted by us. Where there were rocks before, there are more than 400 trees there. The house was built for this. That it is valuable now is a different story,” he explained.

Emotional Investments Over Financial Gains

Suniel Shetty’s attachment to his properties extends beyond their market value. He mentioned that he has no plans to sell his farmhouse or his Mumbai residence, as they are seen as emotional investments rather than financial assets. “I didn’t plan this; I will never even sell it so its value is zero from a price perspective. But from a personal perspective, it is priceless. Same for this house where I live; for the outside world, it will have a price but not for me. I would never want to sell it,” Shetty stated. His philosophy revolves around creating a happy and fulfilling environment for his children and continuing to contribute positively to others’ lives.

On the professional front, Suniel Shetty has two upcoming films, “Welcome to the Jungle 3” alongside Akshay Kumar and “Hera Pheri 3,” which is currently facing legal issues but is expected to commence filming soon.

By prioritizing family and emotional well-being over financial success, Suniel Shetty continues to be a beloved figure both in the film industry and among his fans.
