Sunny Deol and Gopichand Malineni’s Film Gets A Title

Sunny Deol has revealed his latest project, initially referred to as SDGM, which has now been officially titled “Jatt.” Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is already generating significant excitement. Joining Deol in this highly anticipated movie are Saiyami Kher as the leading lady and Regina Cassandra in a key role.

The title, derived from the script, underscores the character traits of Sunny Deol’s role, emphasizing strength and heroism—attributes synonymous with the term “Jatt.” Deol’s character is described as larger-than-life, with a distinctive look featuring a light beard and moustache to enhance his powerful persona.

According to a source close to the project, “The title Jatt was chosen to reflect the aura of Sunny’s character. It’s a heroic role that aligns perfectly with Sunny Deol’s on-screen image.” The film is set for an extensive shooting schedule, expected to wrap up by early September.

Gopichand Malineni to Helm Jatt

Gopichand Malineni, known for his directorial successes such as “Bodyguard” and “Veera Simha Reddy,” is set to direct this ambitious project. Currently occupied with his film starring Ravi Teja, Malineni will be collaborating with Sunny Deol for the first time.

The musical score for “Jatt” will be composed by S Thaman. Rishi Punjabi will bring his expertise in visual storytelling as the cinematographer. Avinash Kolla will take on the role of art director. The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with People Media Factory.

Sunny Deol’s Busy Schedule: Lahore 1947 and More

In addition to “Jatt,” Sunny Deol is also working on “Lahore 1947,” produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. This film features Preity Zinta and Sunny’s son, Karan Deol, among others. Deol has also recently announced “Border 2,” the sequel to the blockbuster drama “Border,” which will be directed by JP Dutta.

Future Projects: Ramayana and Abbas Mustan’s Action Thriller

Sunny Deol is gearing up for his role as Hanuman in the highly anticipated “Ramayana.” And is in discussions for a project with director Abbas Mustan, rumored to be an action thriller.

According to sources, “Sunny is expected to wrap up shooting for Jatt by early September. And will then switch gears to Ramayana and Border 2. He is also exploring timelines for Abbas Mustan’s next film.” This busy schedule underscores Deol’s commitment to a diverse range of high-profile projects in the coming months.
