It’s time for the Grammys! And we’re bringing you live updates and our most unfiltered reactions. Los Angeles is hosting the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (Monday in India). Taylor Swift has announced that her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19.
After picking up the Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights, Swift said: “Okay, this is my 13th Grammy. Which is my lucky number… if I’ve ever told you that. “I know that the way the Recording Academy voted directly reflects the fans’ passion.
“So I want to thank the fans by telling you a secret I have kept from you for the last two years. Which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19; it’s called The Tortured Poets Department; I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage; thank you, I love you.”
Speculation that Swift was set to release a new album began earlier in the night when her website displayed a black screen error message. The message read: “Error 321 Backend fetch failed Backend fetch failed. hneriergrd: DPT: 321”
